I think I read that the CC can pwr on and off the Einsteins but I can't figure it out. Can someone help?

In the menu under "light settings" there is an option for ON/STANDBY. "Standby" is off for Einstein. Of course you will have to go through the set up sequence as described in the sticky at the top of the page.
