I rented studio space today and the facility had the wrong power fed to my me. Within a minute or two of turning on my Zeus, it began to smoke and emit a metallic smell. I immediately dumped, powered down, and unplugged. The facility manager corrected the power and everything worked just fine for the rest of the day (6 hours of continuous shooting). Should I have my pack examined for damage?

Sounds like you may have plugged it into 240V. If so, this could have caused some real damage. I would say if it's still working, use it and keep an eye on it. If you have problems, we'll take care of it.

Eight more hours of shooting today with no problems. I'm assuming nothing will crop up from here.

Sounds like you dodged a bullet. If plugged into 240V it should have blown all the modeling lamps and shut down the circuit breaker. Who knows what it got plugged into. So I guess if it an't broke, don't fix it. If it is broke, we'll fix it.
