Got the PCB mounted on Elinchrom 500BXRi.

The issue you'll find is with any other inner speedring you buy, the diameter is usually bigger by about 1cm. What i did was buy the bigger one (V-Tec inner speedring for elinchrom) and flattened (the v-tec's have a slight curve), then grinded down the edge (dad did all the hardwork). Now i have a PCB 30"x60" softbox mounted and working beautifully with my Elinchrom's. Took less than an hour to do.

If you can find an inner speedring that already has the edge flat (unlike the v-tec) then the job will take even less time. If you know someone who has a lathe, it'll take less than 10mins easily. So quick an easy in fact that i'm buying a few more v-tec inner speedrings (AU$15) to get modified for more pcb stuff :)

very easy to do, and very cheap to get done :) Happy to post photos for anyone interested.

Where did you get the v-tec inner speedrings from - and I would be very interested in seeing images. I have three 500BRXi and would love to get some pcb modifiers.

Cheers
Steve
