Yes,. but as I said above. I'm already taking a big hit on storage space with the VLX + Battery. I'm not going to worsen the problem by adding a 2nd inverter & power brick.

Hmmm How about a 12v ( input ) laptop charger ( that produces 24vdc? ) Should be smaller that the 120v power brick. since it doesn't have the 120v power conversion circuitry.. and it will contain the battery protection.. ?

The charger will need to output ~29VDC as the nominal battery voltage is 25.6VDC. Even with that said, we cannot guarantee any given 29V charger (if available) will work.
