Ok, if it's not the test button. But can CC sitting on the flash shoe can be used as Einstein trigger?

This is correct. But it's more convenient for most users to set up lights with CC and fire from the smaller, cheaper CST on the camera. Plus the transmit distance is greater from CST due to the extended antenna.
