Great concept and design there Ziv. IMHO this is the way any of the heavier mods should be attached. The Einstein fingers are great for quickly switching medium size and lighweight mods, but having experienced failure with two V2 Einsteins and the Giant softbox makes me wish a similar item was in the PCB catalog for the Giant Softbox.

This is so far the best option I have seen as far as mounting heavy modifiers from the Einstein. Does anyone know how to make this or get the blueprints for it? Any help would be a big help.

Thanks
Greg

I had a similar but different version custom made for me -- if someone could explain to me how to post photos here (yup, I'm new), I'll get them up.

The image has to be hosted online already. Then you click the Img button just above the text box.

Then you will get "[ img][ /img]". Paste the link to the image between the "[ img]" and the "[ /img]"

like this [ img]wwww.yourimagelinkgoeshere.com/likethis/photo[ /img]

Note, I added spaces in the [ img] and [ /img] in order for the code to show. Do not use these spaces.

Thanks; here's my customized speed-ring:

Got the multiple-hole'd speedring with threaded mount from eBay, had my repair tech add the bottom rail, then fastened an old Balcar pan-tilt to the bottom (much sturdier than a standard Manfrotto 026 Swivelling Adapter, but getting very hard to find).

For those that get to these before they expire:

Here's the mounting ring:

And here's someone selling a Balcar pan-tilt:

This one too:
http://www.alb.co.kr/eng/product/detail ... 80&idx=136

Just received my first Einstein 640 / Cyber Commander in germany and connected it this way -> http://mikrosat.de/Studio-accessories/s ... ndbox.html <- to my large and heavy toys. Within some days testing out the einstein and cyber commander I am already a Buff Fanboy. I take very good care of the einstein and plan a trip to USA just to pick up some more...

Top Job Mr. Buff!

Best regards from germany
