What is the output of the 22HOBD at 5ft with a B400, B800 and B1600? This info will help me decide which I'll probably buy to overpower the sun at 12 midday. I want to be able to go 2 F-Stops above the typical F11 Sun.

White versions of the 22HOBD are on the way. They are more flexible to use, produce the same look as the classic dish and come with the sock and adjustable blocker for $79.95. They weigh less and are much easier to put on. No downside I can find,

GREAT! That means when I review the 22HOBD I can really do some sun overpowering!

I kinda wanted the buy another of the classic but noticed they weren't for sale any more. I don't find the original heavy at all, in fact I wish it was a bit more rugged as it's dented quite easily so I'd imagine any lighter = softer construction?

In what way would it make it easier over the classic white dish? That adjustable plate is a pain.

For me, the fixed plate and heavier weight makes the classic dish difficult to put on. Perormance-wize, the adjustable plate is vastly superior in my book. With the sock the HOBD performs better without the plate (no dark center) and in many uses I prefer the direct dish without the blocker plate. Personal preference perhaps.
