I assume the PLM would work with the Quantum Q-Flash as a quick and light weight portable lighting system? If so any recommendations on the size of the PLM (42 or 64) and white shoot through with black back spill control, or the silver PLM? Also any recommendations on the optimal mounting solution for the Q-Flash.

I also have a Dyna-Lite power pack system (purchased long before Zeus was a reality). I have both the 4040 (Bare Bulb) head and the 2040 with the built in mini reflector. I assume that the 4040 bare bulb head would be best for use with the PLM, is that correct?

Thanks!

Dave...

The bare bulb Dynalite would be a better choice, especially for the silver. The reflector may narrow the beam spread and not take full advantage of the PLM. The q-flash can be used, however, it may not be the most ideal light source. Any speedlite-esque light typically would mount far off the axis of the PLM, and does not get focused as well. Additionally, you would use it in a bare bulb mode as well.
