Will the Pyrex dome of the new Einstein eliminate the need for the PLM 7" reflector when using the Einstein with the PLM system?

No. The dome simply acts as a diffuser, not a spill kill. Honestly, most users aren't bothered by the slight sideways spill from PLM without LM 7" reflector and many don't bother with it.

One nice thing about the Einstein lamp configuration . . . the modeling lamp filament is is the exact position as the flashtube. This make the modeling pattern precisely the same as the flash on all reflectors.
