Are there any instructions for replacing a flash tube for either an Alien Bee or White Lightning 1600? Is there anything specific that I should do or not do? Since I'm new to strobe photography and have never had to replace one before, I'm somewhat concerned about the procedure one should use in flash tube replacement.

Thanks.

just don't touch the flashtube with your fingers. Hold the tube with a soft cloth

Instructions are included in the box with the replacement tube. Wear gloves, pull it out/push it in.

They are stiff to remove and replace - so use a paper towel or glove to keep skin oil off the tube, and press straight and firm - maybe rocking a little to get all three prongs fully seated.
