I'm planning on an outdoors shoot this weekend with my WL1600 and Vag II. The temps are supposed to be -6 Celcius. Is it safe for the equipment to be used in this cold? Does it damage the unit or flashtube any?

I've used my b800 in -35c. The only problem I noticed was my fingers and toes were freezing ;)

Try to have the vagabond fully charged. A fully charged battery can handle cold better.

There should not be any issues in that temperature range, however battery efficiency (any battery) will deminish in extreme temperatures, cold or hot. This means you will not get the same number of shots as you would normally (60% or so).
