I was wondering what is the longest length of extension cord that would be safe for the Alien Bees? Could I chain together 3 - 100ft 14 gauge extension cords(300 ft total) if I need to? |

300' with 14ga. will be fine, but you may experience a slighly longer recycle time. Also avoid rapid firing the lights, as that can generate heat in the cords at those lengths. TS |

TS is basically correct. But any heat generated in the cord is distributed along the 300' length so is of no consequence. As for recycle time, the difference would be so small I don't think you would be able to measure it. |
