... I am wondering if I can use an MC2 to get an Einstein into group C and control it via group C in the ratios menu on a 5DIII or 5DII.
Would like to have a 600EX-RT on the MiniTT1 in ETTL.

Also, would like to have the Einstein set to use the lower 6 stops of power range relative to the 8 it has available. i.e. from 160Ws downward.

Thanks,
David

I asked the question of PW support as well.
They responded this morning that yes, the MC2 will permit an Einstein to participate in Group C with a speedlite(s) in groups A and B. FEC will control the Einstein over a six stop range and the range can be set via the utility to either upper 6 or lower 6 stops.

That means that Group C can be one or more Einsteins with power controlled from 180 Ws downward 6 stops or from 640Ws downward. I think the lower range could be quite useful when using speedlites and needing more powerful lights to fill in the background of a larger venue.
