I just recently received my ABR800 Ringflash. I had placed the camera on the plastic receiver and started to adjust it vertically. The plastic "level/bolt" that tightens on the vertical post snapped when I tried to tighten it. No, I don't believe that I was overly aggressive when tigthening-in fact I was caught totally by surprise. This is a torque application-plastic? Has anyone else had issues with plastic parts breaking or mold tabs/flashing left on plastic parts and not fitting properly? The moonunits plastic rings both had to be smoothed before they would fit easily on the ringflash. Has anyone else had these kinds of quality issues with AB products?

The part you broke has long ago been replaced by a metal part. Nothing wrong with the plastic part you broke . . . we had a run of these molded at the wrong temperature and have had a number break as a result. We'll replace it free.
