Just a quick little note on an on-going issue I've been having with one of my Einsteins. When I would fire the flash unit at a faster than my normal pace(say every 3 seconds) I noticed a burning smell. At first, when it was new, I shrugged it off as just a burn in phase. So the other day I took my units out to start a project and noticed one was still burning. I took the dome off and found one of the rubber insulators was cooking under the heat of the flash tube. I pulled the tube out, compared it with the non-burnt tube from other Einstein, and made the adjustment.
If you try this, be warned not to cut it too far down or it will become unusable. Here is image.
