I'd like to keep my VML (2 of them) in a small padded bag, hanging on the light stand while they are in use (Einsteins). I've been using a Think Tank lens bag that fits perfectly, not tight, but snug.

After a two hour shoot (540 pops at 1/8th power), it felt a little warm. Not hot, but probably about 100 or 105 degrees F. Is this bad for the battery/inverter? Should I look for a different way to hang it from a stand? (not crazy about the provided clamp)

Thanks, loving my new PCB lighting system.

No. Do not run the VMLs while enclosed in a bag.

From page 2 of the VML manual:
WARNING! Do not operate or charge the Vagabond Mini™ Lithium system inside a carry
bag or backpack. Air circulation around the Vagabond Mini™ Lithium system
and charger must be provided. Do not obstruct the Vagabond Mini™ Lithium
system’s internal fan or ventilation holes during use or when charging.

If you let the VML rest on a knuckle or yoke on the light stand, it will be supported by the included clip. You can also hang the VML from the stand by the carry strap.
