I am using an 1600 Alien bee with a cyber commander and cyber sync (CSRt) and at times when I fire the light it will manually dump the light. I have tried to refresh the cyber commander and running the power slide all the way to zero and unplugging the power and at times I have to just fire the light till it stops manually dumping on every fire. Any help

So, do you mean the light fires, then goes into the dump mode, as indicated by the red LED, and stays there?

What is your power source?

Is the light turned on via the Cyber Commander (i.e. do you have a full blue bar on that channel)?

What are the model lamps set to, both on the light and on the CC (as indicated by the red dot in the blue bar)?

I have the slide on the light set to max flash and connected to the CSRt. no matter how I have the cyber commander set, every time I fire the lamp it will give me max flash. I have the modeling lamp turned off and I am using a vagabond to power the light. Tonight I was setting up and the lamp was giving me max flash I fired the light 5 to 6 times doing this every time. I then unplugged the power cord and plugged it back up and fired the lamp, it flashed like I had it set to the lowest setting. it will do this if I fire the lamp with the cyber commander or using the red button on back of the lamp. Then it will eventually adjust itself and fire right.

Where do you have the model lamp turned off? At the head, or on the Cyber Commander? You should turn the lamp off on the light itself, but keep it turned on in the CC. You may also want to test fire in the ALL position immediately following setup. From that point, the light should function as expected.
