Post subject: | line across image when use einstein w/cybersync |
Hi -- I just took my Einstein, omni, CSXCV and CST out of the box. They synced no problem and the flash fires when I take a picture. However, every image I take with the flash firing has a visible line across the image which divides it into a dark and light part???? This happens even when I fire my camera completely in the opposite direction to the flash. When I turn the flash off and take a picture, the image is normal. Can you please help!! Lynne |

Hi Lynne It's probably a problem with the shutter speed on your camera set too fast. Test it with slower speeds. |

Yes, most likely a sync speed issue. Most cameras are only capable of syncing at 1/160 to 1/250s or slower (varies by model). Set your camera to 1/160 and retry. You can slowly increase the shutter speed until you see the black band. This will be your maximum sync speed. Some wireless remotes can/will introduce a significant delay, and push this speed even lower, especially with low batteries. A hard sync cable and CyberSync remotes will trigger fast enough to enable the maximum sync speed possible. |
