I'm hoping that someone has found the perfect case solution for the CC. I have a storage case for the CC and CSXCV transceivers for transporting to a job site. However, after getting there, adjusting lights, taking light readings, etc... I am concerned that the CC hanging around my neck from a lanyard can easily bang into something and be damaged. I would like to have it in a soft padded case (still probably with a lanyard around my neck) so it is protected from banging into things.

Any ideas?

Don't know if this helps, but I use an soft-padded lens filter case. Was free since I had them laying around. I've heard others using small (non-smartphone) cellphone cases with good results. Or perhaps even one of those smaller ThinkTank accessory cases might work.

This is what I use. My dad stumbled upon this for $1 at a swap meet which is similar to this case but my case is all neoprene fabric and didn't come with a carrying strap. The dimensions are the same which probably suggests it's the same manufacturer.

works well and can be attached to my neckstrap so that i can use the cybercommander with a 2.5mm sync cable when my canon speedlite is mounted on the camera.

I'm sure this kind of case can be purchased in bulk should PCB decide if it would be something that would enhance CC ownership.

For what it is worth, I use one of these (possibly in a different size): http://www.niteize.com/collections/rugg ... rgo-medium

Picked it up at Big Lots for $5 or so. The size I got fits perfectly. Not an "around your neck" type of case, but I hate stuff around my neck, prefer it on my belt.

I have a soft case to put mine in. It's my back pocket - lol. Even with jeans it goes in/out with no probem

CCP,
I like it, nice job.

But I have a CST and only 2 Einsteins. It looks like it would be easy to change the bottom slot to have the CST instead of the CSXCV, but it doesn't appear that it is possible to edit the foam layout.

Is there a way to edit it?
Thanks.

There is. Open the design and make a copy in your own design, If you can't do it from the console, contact customer support and they will do it for you. Here's a short link to the one I designed. The file number for this design is 8554 Sorry for such a late response. http://goo.gl/p0XmvZ
