yes. Einstein can be used with any camera with manual settings and a standard flash contact. My understanding is that the Einstein has a built-in optical slave, like the Alien Bees, so "old school" optical triggering is another possibility. With my own D90, I've used (a) the pop-up flash set to manual and low power, (b) the pop-up flash with a gizmo to block the visible light and let the IR pulse through, (c) a speedlight set to manual and low power, and (d) a cheap chinese IR trigger from ebay. But then my own situtation (small shooting spaces, short distance between camera and strobe) is favorable for optical triggering.

Thank you for your replies. Also i want to take picture of my baby girl in doors like newborn pictures, should i get a soft silver PLM umbrella or a white one? I know i would need a front fabric diffuser too.
