Looking for more power than a Quantum QF8 and was wondering if anyone has mounted a Buff flash, AlienBee or Einstein, with a 7" or 8" reflector and diffuser on a flip-flash frame such as a ProMediaGear BGG Guillotine Flash Bracket or their Boomerang flash bracket? Replacing the shoe with a stand's spigot. VagabondMini has the shoulder strap for power.

Feasible?

Tia.

I have seen it done, sure. Not sure how practical it will be as a mobile flash solution, as exposure will change as you get nearer and farther from the subjects.

I have one of their Boomerang brackets, and I can't begin to imagine using it with something as large as a Bee or Einstein. The weight and bulk would be awkward, not to mention dealing with the rather inflexible power cable. IMO, a better option is a light stand with legs that expand and retract automatically.
