I just purchased the CST and the CSR receiver - I have the Receiver connected to my AB 400 and the green light is on. I have the transmitter in the hotshot of my camera- and the red light blinks once when I push the test button. I cant get it to fire the flash..........I changed the battery in the transmitter, that did not help. I am at a loss. I used a friends last week and it worked fine. |

Does the flash fire with its own test button? Does the flash fire when you press the test button on the CSR that is connected to the flash? Does the LED on the CSR blink red when you activate the transmitter? A couple of things to note: Make sure the frequency dials on the transmitter and receiver are set the same way. There is a darker cut out on the indicator end. Some think the frequency is set to 1 and 9, for example, whereas it is set to 1 OR 9. Make sure both are set to 1 or 9 or 5 or whichever. Also, if you change frequency, press the test button a couple of times so the frequency can reset. Another thing to be sure is there is a power cord that goes to the bottom of the receiver, and a captive cord that comes from the receiver and goes to the power jack of the light. There should also be a 1/8" to 1/8" cord that runs from the side of the receiver to the back of the light to the jack marked "sync". |
