One of my X2400s displays the ready and dump lights as follows; when powered on with flash set to lowest setting, the ready light flashes a quick weak flash and the dump light then comes on(my other X2400 just has the ready light come on when powered up). The dump light stays on for about 30 seconds then goes to the ready light. After about an hour or less(this is random timing)the ready light goes out. Also I want to mention that the other X2400 has a chirp sound when powered off, while the X2400 in question does not. The X2400 works fine other than that.

Will this need to come in before I put it into service? Any harm in using it as is till then? Thanks

is there anything plugged in to the telephone jack when you are doing this?

If so, remove the cord, and try again. do the symptoms change?

It sounds like the capacitors are starting to reach end of life on that unit. I would suggest contacting the repair department on what options and costs are for repair on that light.
