my question is!
When do you think to upgrade or built an einestein or other model with the HSS? (High speed)
All the others brands sell studio flash with high speed synch now from one or two years!
So i must wait or change of brand? :D

Sorry. I cannot comment on any projects which may or may not be in the works.

Digital, constant color white lightning heads, please. 600 & 1200 watt seconds. 9 stops of control. I'm tired of the plastic breaking on my einsteins and my friend who went Pofoto saying "I told you so"

Question regarding the modelling lights: what f-stop would one get from them at 10 feet in various modifiers, e.g., basic reflector, softbox, beauty dish?

This will take a bit to measure accurately. While the LED is bright, it is closer to ambient than the flash is, so getting a non-polluted measurement is a bit tougher to do in teh environment we have on hand, while replicating the standards we list for the flash. So please bear with me.

Ok, I finally had some time to check on this.

1/60s ISO3200

With a 7" reflector, you can expect about f/5.6'5
8.5HOR=f/8.0'4
11LTR=f/11'5
18OMNI=f/11'0
softbox=f/2.8'9
64" PLM-SS f/5.6'3
