Will the new 400w LED bulb in the DigiBee work on an Einstein? :)

The model lamp in the DigiBee is a permanent, non-user replaceable lamp. As such, it can not be interchanged with a bi-pin or Edison base light bulb.

The good news is the model lamp has a 25,000 to 50,000 hour expected life span, and is more resilient to bumps and knocks, reducing the need to be replaced.

Should the lamp fail or become exhausted, we will be able to repair them.

Any chance in the future the einstein modeling light will get switched over to LED?

It would take a major redesign of most parts in Einstein to fit the DB model lamp. I am not in a position to speak in absolutes as to whether or not Einstein 640 will get updated to a new model lamp, but it is pretty safe to say one would not be able to retro fit an LED to a current version Einstein.

Any thought to a White Lightning retrofit? I'd be very, very happy to pay for a 400w equivalent modelling light that would plug into my WLs. Can't find anything even close, at least not that will fit.

I would doubt the LED model lamp will ever be able to be fitted into an existing product. I am not sure the current model would physically fit inside the X series housing. If any light were to be updated to fit the LED, it would need extensive rework.

It looks like it should, but it will be considerably less bright than the original bulb. We have not tried it, so we cannot say for sure how it will act.

I love my Einstein, but the halogen bulb is killing my battery pack and the heat gets warm with my beauty dish.

Would this LED bulb work or will it cause my unit to blow a fuse?
