Post subject:  Cyber Commander Flashmeter Reading with Einstein 640 units

Using a Cyber Commander with 2 Einstein 640's equipped with CSXCV transcevers. Both Einsteins are set to the same frequency but different with different channels. (Channel 1 and Channel 2)

Setting the CC to the Blue Flashmeter screen I want to take a reading on each light. When set to Channel 1, the channel 1 Einstein fires. When set to Channel 2, I get both lights firing.

What is the most likely reason that both lights fire when I only want the Channel 2 light to fire for a flashmeter reading?

The most likely occurences are:

A) one or both Einsteins are not fully defined. When each channel is selected individually, Einstein640 should appear in the lower right corner in blue. If a light is not specified, you can get some odd behavior.

B) more likely, the slave eye is on one light. Even if not selected by the Cyber COmmadner, the light will still fire from the slave.

If you need to turn the slave off, you should do it from the Cyber Commander. If you change it from the light, you will need to reopen STUDIO afterward for the CC to "absorb" the new setting. If a change is made on the light, but not the CC, the CC will override the setting and change it back.

Thanks for the quick response. It is appreciated.
In the world of complexity, it is often the simple that gets overlooked.

Your suggestions solved my problem.
