I purchased an AB800 fairly recently. Haven't used it much or lately. But, I'm now trying to use it and I can't get it to fire with my camera! Aaagh! What setting am I missing? I have a D810. I can get the light to fire with the test button. But not with the camera - whether corded or on remote. :?: :o Help!

I have seen on some Nikons the flsh being turned off. Press the lightning bolt button on the left side of the body near the lens mount. Scroll one of teh control wheels (not sure which) and look at the LCD screen. It should rotate you through various flash options, and it it could be set to disable (lighnting bolt with a circle and line thourgh it). Try to just the lightning bolt.

YOU, dear Technical Support, are an effing genius!!! Thank you so much! I just realized today that the entire flash on the camera wasn't working - even a speedlight or even the built-in flash - and I was thinking I needed to send the camera in for repair. In fact, I think I may have sent a camera in for it in the past (and was charged handsomely for repair)! Thank you SO SO MUCH! Whew! Oh I'm a happy camper! :D
