My E640 won't fire at all. I don't think the flash bulb is burned out. It says ready on the panel. Not sure if I should just get it serviced.

If you can swap tubes with a spare or another flash, that would be ideal, just to ensure that it is not the tube. If you cannot swap, but do not see any obvious signs of failure, then it is more likely to be an internal failure.
