Hello! On my last shoot, I was using two White Lightning's with CSR+'s in each, with a Cyber Commander controlling the two units as well as acting as a transmitter in the Hot Shoe.

The Cyber Commander seemed to be "rebooting" as I would shoot. The screen would go black, and then it would show the current firmware version and then open to the normal menu again. When it wasn't doing this, it would be missing shots left and right even though the flash had recycled.

Does the CST act as a better transmitter? Maybe the Commander will live in my pocket.

Thanks!

Many people use the CST (or, now, the CST2) in the hotshoe for a variety of reasons, mainly for conveninece. However, it does compensate for different shoes better than the CC.

As for the rebooting, you can try removing the SD card to see if that helps.

Remove it and re-insert it? Or permanently remove it?

Remove it and leave it out long enough to verify if the problem still exists. From there, you can keep it out, or you can reformat it and reinstall.

If you have saved set ups, you can load the card into your computer, and dig through the folders to CONFIGS, and inside that, you can save the .SAV files to your hard drive, annd then put them back to the card, once reformatted. I would not save the .HEX file in the CONFIGS folder.
