Yesterday while setting up and trying to remove my 48" octabox, the frosted glass dome on my einstein slipped off and crashed on the floor. I was wondering if it's okay to gently replace the octabox without touching the bulbs and just use it that way until my new dome arrives from PCB. OF COURSE, this happens on a holiday weekend and they were closed yesterday. Luck is not my middle name.

It is perfectly fine to use the Einstein without the dome. With some modifiers, the pattern of model lamp vs flash tube may differ, and you may get a 300K up shift in color temperature, but otherwise you are fine.
