Post subject:  Diffusion Filters

Hi. i have the Einsteins and I just purchased the diffusion filters. Can the modeling light remain on all the time while I use them? And can I leave the light on with gels as well?

Love my Einsteins! You are the best with Customer Service!

The Einstein can use its model lamps at all times, provided you have the power to run it (i.e., not when using a Vagabond Mini).

You can use the model lamp with gels, however some common sense will be necessary as to how bright the model lamp can be (there are independent controsl for the model lamp, and you can reduce model lamp power in tracking mode so that it still tracks, just at a reduced power). Gels are designed to withstand quite a bit of heat, but they may wrinkle. Also, depending on how the gels are mounted, and the angle the light is at, and ambient temperatures, rate and power of flash triggering, you may build enough heat that the light's overheat circuit engages.
