Post subject:  How to use the ABR800 to get the best corona effect

Hi,

I have a problem with the ABR800. I tried it several times but I am not able to get a huge corona in the eye of my model.
I change the distance, the focal length and the power but the result is just frustrating.
Could someone give me a hint whats the right way to use it?
Maybe with some example pics ?

Thanks

Moon unit is the best solution for big catchlight and redeye elimination.

I also have the moon-unit, same result.
But I never used it without the soft diffuser is that the problem?

If you are referring to getting a large pupil, lower the ambient light. The eye's natural response is to open up to let in more light (like your camera lens) and slow your rate of fire. If you want more of the iris and a smaller pupil, raise the ambient light, and try to have one more or less focused into the models eyes (they may hate you for that though), and be sure it is not so bright to cause undue discompfort or injury. The amount of flash is relatively unimportant as long as the rate of fire does not keep the pupils open.
