I am wanting to buy a set of the cybersync radio transmitters but am a little confused. What are the advantages/disadvantages of battery powered vs ac powered transmitters and receivers? Can anyone help?
TIA
Melanie

If you plan to use the CyberSyncs to trigger studio strobes exclusively, then go with the AC units. However, if there's any possibility (now or in the future) of using them to trigger speedlights, it's better to go with the battery powered units because you can use them anywhere and everywhere.....without AC power and without extension cords. My personal preference was the CSRB+ because of the additional versatility.

As far as I know, CyberSync transmitters (CST) are only availabe as battery-operated devices. Batteries in the CST and CSRB+ seem to last a very long time.

Excellent advice Big Iron. I would definitely recommend the CSR+ or CSRB+ over the none plus if a user has any intention of eventually adding Cyber Commander.
