The modeling light on my new AB800 has a high pitched hum. When I swap the supplied 150w bulb out for a lower wattage the noise goes away. Is this normal? |

This is not abnormal. Some bulbs can be a little louder than others, but it is not defective or a sign of anything detrimental. |
