I mounted my PCB giant softbox on my AB B800 today for portrait testing and the weight of the softbox pulled the top half of the speedring away from the AB. It held ok for my test, but I want to find out if there are solutions to better supporting the giant softbox.

How far did th speed ring pull away? It is not unusual for a small gap to form. As long as all four fingers are within the ring, the light will hold the box.
