Paul,
Has the T.1 flash duration at full power been increased to 1/540 on the Einsteins?

Full Power t.1 has never been published and hasn't changed significantly. All IGBT flashes have the longest durations at full power, and 1/540 is actually among the fastest at full power. Many of the super higher end Euro systems are more in the 1/150 to 1/300 t.1 range at full power.

The thing is, the t.1 time drops very rapidly as you reduce power - even to 3/4 power. (See chart).

On closer examination, a slightly faster full power was published in the preliminary specs . . . 1/675 I think. Sorry.

That's why I posed the question. :)
I preordered 3 units anyway. I would like something faster than the Ab1600 at full power.

There is very little real action stopping difference in the two numbers. The fastest system in 500WS+ range full power, per WS is Zeus 1250WS. Next is Bowens Gemini 500WS is second at 1/2900 t.5 (1900 t.1) , third is a tie between RX600WS and AB/WL 1600 (640WS). 1/2000 t.5 (1650 t.1)

But none of these can come within a mile of Einstein at 1/3f below full power. 1/2000 t.1 at 1/2 power, 1/3850 t.1 at 1/4 power.

A $10,000+ Bron pack is wayyyyy slower at full power than any of these. IGBT lights depend on some amount of power reduction to achieve their really fast durations.
