All the other post in this thread deal with triggering issues, so I'm not going to go there.
White balance issues need consideration as water absorbs different frequencies of light at different rates. Reds go 1st, then yellows, then greens, etc.
That's why I use underwater strobes and wide angle lenses for my u/w photography because there is less water for the light to pass through.
