Though I'm new to the forum, I've owned ABs for a number of years & have a simple question about my brolly umbrellas (Lightgear USA Directed Umbrella Softbox # FEA-UB48). Guess they don't sell them anymore & I can't find any definite answer as to whether or not I need to use the AB reflector with them or not? I can't find any official proper installment/usage documents anywhere. :o Also, it seems the velcroed opening has to be on top, but worry the heat that rises from the AB's vents might melt the velcro or drawstring. Thought maybe there was an official PCB document somewhere?

Thanks in advance

The heat from the vents should not pose a problem. It is warm, but not hot enough to melt velcro. No, we do not sell that product, but we you can replicate the product in the PLM line with a white PLM and black front spill kill fabric.

As for the reflector, you can, but it will choke the light down in the brolly. You can move the brolly out for more coverage. I typically shoot without the reflector when using them, making sure the fabric did not touch the flash tube or model lamp.
