Please look at the attached sketch and let me know if there is any reason why this 'distribution point" box would not work. The cables coming into the box from the ABs would be mini - mini.

I can easily build such a box. But before I do, I would value your opinion.

This would save some initial dollars as I grow my studio setup.

Looks fine to me, however, we do offer this product that serves the same function: http://www.paulcbuff.com/ss1.php or you can get a 3-way (or 4 or 5) headphone splitter at somewhere like Radio Shack (I am sure Amazon and maybe Target/Wal-Mart type places).

Or you can get 2 headphone Y-splitters (single male, double female), place the male end of each into 2 of the Bees. Then run a PC to 1/8 to the first, 1/8 to 1/8 cord from the first to second, and a 1/8 to 1/8 from the second directly into third.

You will, of course, need to make or source your own 1/8 to 1/8 cords.

It would allow you to remote control power and sync on up to 4 lights with just telephone cords... With enough cord, you could very easily have it next to your shooting position and manage unique strobe power and the modeling lights as a group.

On the other hand, yes - the box idea will also work. Link all of the 'tips' together and all of the 'rings' together within the box and you should be able to trigger all the units no problem. A little black project box from Radio Shack should make it all nice and tidy.
