3 lights in a box on a boom? seems like a lot of weight to hang out there..

I'll most likely be sticking with the 2 light set up

That still seems like a good amount of weight to boom. Hope you have a sturdy stand with some counter weights.

No it doesn't.

Just looked and einstein weighs in at 4 pounds 5 ounces. Something like the manfrotto 025Bs will support 15 pounds boomed out. add a 30X60 soft box at 7 pounds plus triggers and brakets and outside sources such as wind... And yes it does...

OK, before this starts to go downhill, let's all agree that one should ensure the boom and stand can withstand the total weight of anything attached. There are many booms that this may not be the best idea, and there are booms where this is perfectly fine. Caution and prudence are invaluable anytime lights are supported overhead.

sorry if my response came off as confrontational. was just trying to outline my reasoning and help point out an issue that may not have been considered when thinking of this setup.

If the weight gets to bee too much for the boom, another option is to use super clamps to hang the lights from the crossbar of a background support stand. That way the load is supported on both ends. Or you can rig something similar with light stands, pipe, booms, etc.
