I am planning on getting a three light set up. I was looking at the Alien Bee 800, but need a little less light sometimes for portrait work so I decided on the E640 unit instead. I was wondering if the speeding for the Alien Bee unit is the same for the Einstein E640? I have some modifiers that say they are for Alien Bees and was not for sure if the will work on the Einstein E640 flash units? Thanks,

Thanks, one more question about the trigger. I want to get the cyber sync commander as well. I am planning to control the flash units from the the camera so that is why I want the cyber sync commander. Will the CyberSync Transceiver work for that?

The commander will work with the cyber sync transceiver... As long as you're using an Einstein. The transceiver is not compatible with lights other than the Einstein.

They use the same mount type. However, there are subtle differences in each brand's mount (in an effort to continuously improve function and ease), though we have tested with a variety of manufacturers speedrings in an effort ensure compatibility (manufacturers can vary in their actual design of the speed ring). While you should not encounter problems with third party modifiers, we cannot absolutely guarantee how well they will fit.
