I have a small problem with my VML. I threaded a super clamp into the socket on the bottom to mount it on a pole. But now the brass fitting from the super clamp won't unthread. It seems the whole socket in the VML is turning. Guess maybe I tightened it too much.

Any suggestions on how to get the fitting unthreaded?

It sounds like the spigot was over tightened. This is something that can be repaired, thought it will need to come in. I would contact our repair department to get a cost estimate.
