I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I shoot the Nikon D600 and when shooting with the CC on top of the camera, it frequently slides out of the hotshoe on the camera. Not all the way, just enough to keep it from triggering. Could a locking pin be added to the CC foot to prevent this?

The Cyber Commander was made with a standard ISO hotshoe. Installing a locking pin would be impractical, as different camera brands have different locking pin positions.

Generally speaking, the Cyber Commander will friction fit into the hotshoe tight enough to not move. However, you can have variations of the hotshoe size, for one reason or another, even from specimen to specimen of the same model camera. Occasionally, you will find some that fit more loosely than others.

One thing you may try is to place a small strip of gaffer tape at the front edge of the bottom of the foot. This will effectively make the foot thicker in one area. This may aid in a tighter fit. I do not expect you to need a layer of tape over the entire bottom of the foot, just a small strip. I have had to shim OEM flashes to cameras in a similar manner.

Alternatively, many users forego the Cyber Commander in the hotshoe, and instead use a CST in the hot shoe for triggering, and keeping the the CC handy for metering and adjustment.
