Hi,

I've been wondering if there's a way to change the metering of the CC from full stops to 1/3 stops, like you can do on the Pocket Wizard?

Thanks

The Cyber Commander does not currently adjust 1/3 stops in any parameter. If the aperture reads xx' 3, that is 1/3 of a stop higher than the whole stop displayed, or one click on your aperture dial. The same holds true with xx' 6 or xx' 7, in that it is 2/3 of a stop, or two clicks. While some rounding will be done, you will be within a half of a tenth of a stop, where as a 1/3 stop increment would round to within 1.5 tenths.

Alright. I already knew about the 1/10 stops, but I'm a bit worried about the limited adjustments on the shutter speed while working outdoors. 125 to 250 is quite a jump and my camera syncs at 200 so I'm stuck at 125 to have proper readings or do the maths myself. It's obviously not a big deal in studio since ambiant should not be an issue most of the time.

Is there a plan to update the firmware for this?

We are exploring it, but no promises of when or if at this time.

Any word on the shutter speed adjustment update? Do you think it'll ever happen?

Glad to see I'm not the only one worried about this.

I do have to say that I'm really in love with the tool and if we can get passed this little issue, it would be amazing!

We are working on firmware updates. This has not been forgotten, but I do not have a time frame, nor can I absolutely confirm that it will happen.

There is currently no update to the firmware regarding 1/3 stop settings. However, you can adjust the Cyber Commander to ISO100 and CAL -.3f to equal the ISO 64 setting.

This works because ISO is a global setting and affects ambient and flash equally.
