I purchased my mini in August of last year. Since the mounting option never felt great I always kept the mini in a small camera bag and just hung the strap on the light stand. I never liked this option but that what I could come up with. On my latest shoot it was a bit windy and decided to use the clamp that came with the min. Everything was mounted correctly but a nice gust of wind came and took down the entire rig. The mini took the fall great in every area except where the mount attaches. The casing cracked at the top and the spring loaded screw is stuck in the mini. It acts like the threading was stripped. Has anyone had this happen and if so what did you do to fix this? I am not sure if I am still covered under warranty. Thanks for the help. Here's a pic of the mini.

With the housing cracked, that would require a housing change. VML basic service is $50, and the housing would be covered under that price (additional damage may or may not be, and subject to increased costs/estimate). This price would include return shipping to a domestic address. This would not be covered under warranty due to age as well as impact damage.
