Hello!

I'm going to be setting up a red carpet event, using two AB800's with parabolic reflectors or softboxes, not sure which ones yet (depends on the setup).

I currently own a Cyber Commander, and it fires the Strobes via two "CSR+ CyberSync™ Receiver Plus - AC Powered" units. Usually works fine.

Now, I'm going to have a second photographer and we want to share these strobes. My plan is to have them use the Cyber Sync Trigger Transmitter to fire them while I use my Cybersync to both fire and adjust the power on the AB800's.

Is this possible, or are there conflicts I need to worry about? :?

I would like to know so I can order the proper hardware to deal with two people firing the same strobes.

Thanks,
Tom F.

That works just fine. You can have 1 Cyber Commander and any number of CST running at the same time. I've seen one Commander and 6 or 8 CST in a classroom setting, and have used 1 Commander and 2 CST in my own studio more than once.

Only 1 Cyber Commander, though, a second Commander will cause problems. Only one President, only one chief...

Agreed, multiple CST's will work fine, however, you need to be aware that two shots fired rapidly will leave the second one firing while not fully recycled and may result in an under exposed image.

Multiple CC's are fine, IF they are set identically. If not, they will each refresh at different times, and you may not be immediately aware of the change.

Thanks for the feedback and advice. Yeah, I kind of figured the CC and CST would compete for power if shooting at the same time, so I guess it's something we'll just have to get a rhythm with. Also, we can probably piggy back each others firing of the strobes a certain percentage of the time, even though those will be entirely random, maybe with some timing, they don't have to be (I'm thinking 1....2...3....go!) LOL
