Hi, so last year I received two second hand CSRB+s from the POTN forum. I bought a new CST and AB800 directly from PCB.

I currently have 2 580EX's with adapter shoes with the PC syncs.

What I'm trying to accomplish is connecting my EOS 40D with the cable from my AB800 with the CST on my hot shoe. The CST will trigger the 580EXs connected to the CSRB+.

One of my CSRB+ will always fires with every trigger from the CST and its own button. The other CSRB+ will intermediately fire like maybe one out of every 5 shots.

I've tried all the frequencies, fresh batteries, and made sure I had no lose connections. Can anyone help because this has stumped me for about 2 weeks.

I'm pretty sure one CSRB+ is bad

Have you tried swapping sync cords? Also, is the LED blinking red in response to your CST trigger signals at all/sometimes/everytime?

Yes I have swapped the cords. The lights blink so when I trigger the CST the CSRB+ sees it. It still fires intermediately

Are you using original cords? If you are using attenuation cords from Radio Shack, for example, then that can squelch the signal being sent to the light. It does not necessarily act the same from on e remote or flash to the next.

Try disconnecting the cord from the reciever and jumping the tip contact of the cord to the sleeve contact of the cord. If the flash consistently fires, then you have either a bad reciever or an attenuation cord. Also, try resetting the receiver by removing the batteries and reinstalling. Check for looseness in where the cord goes into the reciever.
