Which beauty dish would work best for outdoors portrait shooting?

Thanks,

The 22HOBD has a silver finish and a 45° beam angle. It's brighter and more focused than the 22HOBD-W, thus the lighting will look "harder" than the 22HOBD-W, if placed the same distance from the subject.

The 22HOBD-W has a white finish and a 130° beam angle, so it's light will have a "softer" look.

Which one is better for YOU? It just depends on what look YOU are trying to get.

I've used the 22" silver with a diffusion sock on quite a few outdoor shoots. Compared to a softbox, the BD is lighter and less prone to getting blown over. YMMV.
