My concern would be with the metering method. Yes, the CC is also a light meter, so that is not a problem itself, but you seem intent on using another set of triggers for triggering. I would assume you have other lights being triggered by PW's. This would not allow you to meter these other lights with the CC.

Yes, your correct. I bounce around from Speedotrons and Steins. I already had my MiniTT1 that i was using to trigger my PWII's and i just bought the MC2 when i purchased my steins from PCB. I don't ever see my self combining two different brands of lights as it would just complicate things for what i do.

I'm trying to use my CC with my MC2 and I'm having no luck. I think i jumped the gun on purchasing a CC. I may have misunderstood what the CC can't do with mc2s. Any other ideas?

No, the CC will not communicate with MC2.

The Cyber Commander is pretty much useless without a CyberSync reciever of some kind. In the simplest of analogies, you are trying to listen to an FM radio station with an AM radio. Even the light meter requires radio communication.
