No, you cannot chain them together via the RJ-11 jack

Are you sure about that?

Page 6 of this document talks about using a telephone splitter to control multiple:
http://www.paulcbuff.com/manuals/LG4XManual.pdf

Or did you mean running an RJ-11 from one strobe to another strobe? If so, then yes I agree that you can't do that :)

If you do this, you must connect an LG4X to the telephone cords. This splits one LG4X channel to control multiple lights in parallel - same power. No LG4X = no work.

So it won't work with a CSR+/CSRB+, I'm assuming from your note?

That's what I'm thinking, too. It would be great for those times when you need either another receiver and don't want the slave firing via other photographers.

Oh well...

Thanks, guys

We tested this with both the CSBB+ and CSR+. You can split a + receiver among two lights. The input is controlled identically and simultaneously between the two lights. I reccomend using identical lights, should you use this method.

Hello Paul,

do you still sell your 3 way PC splitter?

Any idea where to buy a PC-sync-Y-Cord-with 2x resp. 1/8" (3.5mm) ?

Will any of these

http://www.flashzebra.com/monominiphone/splitters.shtml

make 1 camera cable-sync with 2 Einsteins, avoiding slaves or radio-triggers?

Thank you.

You can use the Flash Zebra splitter, put it into the light, run a standard sync cord to it, then a mini to mini sync cord from it to the other light.

Or we do carry our 3 way splitter on the hardware>Cords page. As well, we have a hot shoe adapter that has 2 PC terminals built in.

Can you pls. post a link to your 3-way-splitter (I did not find it) and the hot shoe adapter that has 2 PC terminals built in?

Do you take PLM-V2-white preorders? Yes, I know the 86"s and the silver-range will take a bit longer. I would be fine with 51" and 64" in white....

Thank you.

http://www.alienbees.com/cords.html 5th row, middle is the 3-way (SS1)

http://www.alienbees.com/parts.html second row left is the hot shoe adapter (HSA)

We are continuing to take orders for the 64" PLM's, so they will be treated as a back order. 51" PLMS, being a new product, are not yet set up for ordering. We are working on this, and as soon as they are available, we will post them online.

Yes, that would work. However, the mini to mini cord you showed was only 6'. For me, i would either get a longer cord from FZ (he can custom make cords, if he doesnt stock them) or use speaker wire and solder on mini connectors (fairly inexpensive at radio shack).

Nice!

I now found a good solution to bridge the gap until powermc2 is out...

Quote:

"The Phottix Atlas can be used to trigger two flash units – as long as they are of the same make, model and trigger voltage. Photographers do not need a dedicated unit to trigger the same model of flash. The Atlas can also be used as a wireless shutter release. Using WRS Mode (Wireless Remote Sync), a camera and flash(es) can be remotely triggered, in sync.

The new trigger system is compatible with Sekonic Light Meters equipped with a RT-32 transmitter. Wireless mode on compatible meters will trigger Phottix Atlas units, providing photographers with an easier means of taking light readings."

When powermc2 is out I will have a try on CyberCommander!

Best regards, great service!
